Course Restrictions

Can I push my child in a jog stroller?
Sorry, but for safety and liability reasons, we do not allow baby joggers on the Marathon or Half Marathon course. No pets or roller blades on the course as well.

 

How old do I have to be to enter?

Runners need to be 18 and older to participate in the Marathon.

 

The Magic Mountain northbound I-5 off ramp will be closed from 7:00 - 7:30 AM. on November 2, 2008.
Runners should use Magic Mountain exit and be at the start line well before 7:00 AM for the start of the race.  The start line is cleaned up and chip pads are removed at 7:02 AM. The Marathon Half and 5K start promptly at 7:00 AM!

City of Santa ClaritaFrom Los Angeles Int'l Airport (42 miles, about 48 mins):

Take San Diego Freeway (I-405 North) to Golden State Freeway (I-5 North). Exit Magic Mountain Parkway, turn right to McBean Parkway. Turn right to Town Center Drive. Hotel on right at intersection of Town Center Drive and McBean Parkway.

From Burbank Airport (24 miles, about 31 mins):

Take Golden State Freeway (I-5 North). Exit Magic Mountain Parkway right turn to McBean Parkway, turn right to Town Center Drive. Hotel at intersection of Town Center Drive and McBean Parkway.

From Bakersfield (78 miles, about 1 hour):

Take the Golden State Freeway ( I-5 ) South. Exit Magic Mountain Parkway; turn left. Turn Right on McBean Parkway. Turn Right on Town Center Drive. Hotel at intersection of Town Center Drive and McBean Parkway.

From Pasadena (36 miles, about 40 minutes):

Take the Pasadena Freeway ( 210 ) West to the Golden State Freeway ( I-5 ) North. Exit Magic Mountain Parkway; turn Right. Turn Right on McBean Parkway. Turn Right on Town Center Drive. Hotel at intersection of Town Center Drive and McBean Parkway.

From Ventura County (47miles, about 1 hour):

Take Highway 1-126 East to the Golden State Freeway (I-5) South. Exit Magic Mountain Parkway; turn left. Turn right on McBean Parkway. Turn right on Town Center Drive. Hotel at intersection of Town Center Drive and McBean Parkway.

 

 

Hotel Accommodations - HYATT Valencia

The Hyatt Valencia is within feet of the start and finish line! Take advantage of the special Marathon rate and be near all the action. Both the Health & Fitness Expo and the Start/Finish line are right outside the Hyatt Valencia. However, the Marathon Rate is not available forever.In order to get the Hyatt Marathon rate, please call Hyatt Reservations: 1-800-233-1234 or book your room online. If you call, you must request the "Santa Clarita Marathon Rate" when booking the room.
